Based in Taipei, Taiwan, AOC International is a multinational electronics company with products ranging from televisions and PC monitors. Founded in Chicago by Ross Siragusa, AOC started out as the Asian counter-part of Siragusa’s Admiral Corporation. It was formerly known as Admiral Overseas Corporation and was established in 1934. The brand started in the US in 1947 and is notable for being one of those producing the first color television sets. By 1967, the company then established their brand in Taiwan as they started to manufacture and was one of the first companies to export color television sets. In 1978, the company officially renamed as AOC International and started marketing under their new brand name by 1979. By the late 80s, AOC then established more offices in China, Europe and Brazil with the production of computer monitors as its main focus. The company continued expanding and entered the New Zealand, Australia, India and Mexico markets in the late 90s to early 2000s. With their expansion, the company now sells in more than 115 countries globally with products ranging from LCD and CRT monitors, LCD TVs, All-In-One PCs and even Android tablets. AOC also produced the first true Anti-Blue-Light monitor in 2014 which had the aim to protect users’ eyes. The company also collaborated and is a strong supporter of innovative gaming technologies and incorporated FreeSync features into their new line of monitors. In 2016, they launched their AOC AGON series which is a premium line monitors aimed at professional gamers who play competitive titles such as LoL and similar.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to AOC User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
