Asus is an international phone and computer hardware electronics company with products including desktop computers, netbooks, laptops, mobile phones, monitors, projectors, wi-fi routers, and tablet PCs. The company, an original equipment manufacturer, also manufactures graphics cards, motherboards, multimedia products, workstations, and servers. Former Acer hardware engineers Ted Hsu, T.H. Tung, M.T. Liao, and Wayne Hsieh founded the company in Taipei in 1989 before Taiwan became a leading region for computer hardware. In September 2005, the corporation released the first PhysX accelerator card and subsequently entered the LCD TV market with its TLW32001 model in December that year.  The company later collaborated with Lamborghini in 2006 to develop the VX laptop series. Asus demonstrated support for Blu-ray, announcing its release of BC-1205PT, a BD-ROM/DVD writer PC drive, before releasing multiple Blu-ray based notebooks. The company began a significant operations restructuring in January 2008, resulting in it splitting into three independent companies; Asus, Pegatron, and Unihan Corporation, with Asus focusing on applied first-party electronics and computers. Afterwards, it launched the Asus U36, a very thin notebook with Intel’s Core processors i3 or i5 and a thickness of only 19 mm. The company also launched several Android-based smartphones, known as ZenFones, with two sim slots and predominantly employed Intel instead of ARM processors. As of January 2021, the electronics company was the world’s 5th-largest PC vendor by unit sales, appearing in “Asia’s Top 10 IT Companies” and BusinessWeek’s “InfoTech 100” rankings. Asus has a secondary listing on London’s Stock Exchange under the ASKD ticker code and a primary listing on Taiwan’s Stock Exchange under the 2357 ticker code.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Asus User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
