General Electric Company (GE) is a North American multinational conglomerate incorporated in New York but headquartered in Boston. In 2021, the company operated in an array of sectors encompassing aviation, renewable energy, weapons, power, digital industry, locomotives, manufacturing, venture capital, and finance. GE was founded in 1892 due to a merger between Edison General Electric Company of Schenectady and Thomas-Houston Electric Company of Lyn, Massachusetts, with the guidance of Drexel, Morgan, and Co. Subsequently, the organization was incorporated in New York while the Schenectady plant served as the headquarters. The establishment bought the business of Rudolf Eickemeyer together with its patents and designs, allowing it to develop transformers for use in the transmission of electric power. In 1911, the firm absorbed the National Electric Lamp Association (NELA) to expand its lighting division and went on to release the first demonstration of television broadcast reception in 1927. 1n 1928, the company unveiled the first broadcast to the public in the US. This innovation launched its global success and later expanded in 1965 into cable with the unveiling of Cablevision Corporation. In 2021, GE made its biggest acquisition in years by buying BK Medical, a specialist in advanced surgical visualization using ultrasound to aid minimally invasive and robotic surgeries, for $1.45 billion. This financial move was aimed at expanding the organization’s ultrasound portfolio to accelerate its growth rate. GE is a publicly-traded company on the New York Stock Exchange with the GE trading symbol.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to GE User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
