Hisense is a Chinese international white goods and electronics creator headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. It started out making radios in 1969, but televisions have become the organisation’s main products, after it produced its first TV model, CJD18, in 1978. The company manufactures white goods, set-top boxes, televisions, digital TV broadcasting equipment, laptops, wireless modules, mobile phones, wireless PC cards, and optical components for the data communications and telecommunications industries. The international company stemmed from Qingdao No.2 Radio Factory, which was established in September 1969. After 1979, the predecessor company merged with other local electronics manufacturers and began to make televisions under the name Qingdao General Television Factor in the Shandong province. Nevertheless, Hisense came into existence due to disagreements within Qingdao No.2 Radio Factory in 1992 with its Electrical Appliance Share Holding Company publicly listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in April 1997.  Due to its expansionist goals, the electronics manufacturer has more than 40 subsidiaries globally. For example, Hisense-Hitachi Air-conditioning System Co Ltd was created in 2003 as a joint venture between both companies with its becoming an air-conditioner company that offers products under the brand names “Hitachi” and “Hisense-Hitachi”. In addition, the company also owns over 14 manufacturing parks globally while operating several production bases. The Chinese international company also retails its products under different brand outfits like Toshiba, Sharp, Gorenje, Ronshen, and Kelon. Two significant Hisense Group subsidiaries are listed companies, Hisense Visual Technology (SSE: 600060) and Hisense H.A.(SEHK: 921, SZSE: 000921), with both having state ownership greater than 30% via Hisense holding company before 2020’s end.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Hisense User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
