Husqvarna AB has a long and rich history. Today, many people know the brand as a manufacturer of outdoor power products, tractors, consumer watering products, cutting equipment, diamond tools, and motorcycles. In 1689, Husqvarna began as a rifle and military hardware manufacturing company in Sweden. Its first name was Jönköping Rifle Factory. You can still see traces of its origins in Husqvarna’s “gunsight” logo. Later, Swedish royalty turned it over to a private owner. This led to the change of the company’s name to Husqvarna Rifle Factory. By 1850, the production had moved to Huskvarna, Sweden. When the demand for rifles declined in 1872, the company switched to manufacturing sewing machines. It expanded its product range to hunting weapons, wood stoves, and mincing machines in the following years. In 1895, Husqvarna created the first Swedish typewriter, pushing the brand further into the limelight. Then in 1903, the company began venturing into motorcycle production. Over the 20th century, Husqvarna developed, manufactured, and distributed various household appliances and consumer products. It released its last rifle in 1967, called the 1900-series. Despite being the final rifle Husqvarna created, it inspired many civil weapon manufacturers for its innovative bolt construction. The company shortened its name to Husqvarna in 1972 and modified its logo. It continued innovating and reimagining many products, slowly changing its focus to integrate automatic features as the 21st century rolled in. It has also acquired numerous businesses, including the HTC Sweden AB, in 2017. It expedited Husqvarna’s expansion to the manufacturing floor grinding machines and related diamond tooling. In 2006, Husqvarna began trading on the Stockholm Nasdaq market with the ticker symbol HUSQ-B.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Husqvarna User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
