Krups is a German private company that manufactures kitchen appliances. It produces an array of household appliances like coffee makers, blenders, waffle makers, hand mixers, food processors, egg cookers, kettles, and toasters. Furthermore, the firm provides repair services to its consumers through partnerships with electrical engineering organizations. The company was founded in 1846 by Robert Krups to manufacture precision scales and industrial balances, acting as the organization’s principal products for 110 years. However, following the 1950’s post-war reconstruction and Germany’s economic book, Krups expanded its offerings to consumer appliances. The company’s success was launched on a national scale after unveiling the 3Mix machine in 1959. The machine soon became a household fixture for most German families. The subsequent release of the ONKO Coffee machine in 1961 furthered Krups’ expansion allowing it to manufacture more products within the same period. Its first slicer was released in 1965 and quickly became popular in Germany because sausage and cheese are staple foods for that country. As a result of the increasing global demand for coffee, Krups entered a joint venture with Nestle in 1991 to manufacture innovative coffee machines and expand beyond Germany. Over the years, the two companies worked together to develop premium at-home machines for the European and North American consumer bases. This move made its coffee makers its most popular offering, constituting about 40% of sales in Germany and 30% in North America. However, Krups faced bankruptcy in 2001 and was acquired by Groupe SEB, which later reoriented the company as a premium brand.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Krups User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
