Gigaset AG is a German multinational consumer electronics corporation with its headquarters located in Munich, Germany. It produces smartphones, cordless, corded, and VoIP telephones. You will also find it creating Smart Home and home security products. Although Gigaset opened recently, we can trace its roots to 1941 in Bocholt, Germany. At the time, the company’s name was Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices, a subsidiary of the Siemens Corporation. It started as a telephone production company. In 1993, the company began to produce cordless telephones. It also helped develop the Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications or DETC telephones standard. This innovation also led to the establishment of the integrated answering machine, SMS text messaging, and hands-free communication. At the turn of the century, the telecommunications brand launched Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) products, followed by its voice and data production and development in 2001. After four years, the Siemens subsidiary began producing WIMAX and IP phones. Then in 2008, Arques Industries bought 80% equity interest in Siemens Home and Office Communication Devices GmbH & Co KG. From there, Gigaset Communications was established. Over the following years, Gigaset added more innovations to its products. Its consistency, creativity, and quality led it to win multiple products and company awards. In 2018, it became the first manufacturer to move its smartphone production from Asia to Germany, highlighting its values and goals of creating products “Made in Germany.” Gigaset AG trades shares on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB) and XETRA (ETR) with the ticker symbol GGS. It began trading on XETRA in 2004. In the company’s 2017 annual report, Gigaset shared that Goldin Fund Pte. Ltd., Singapore bought over three-quarters of Gigaset’s shares, making Goldin Group the parent company of Gigaset AG.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Gigaset User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
