GoPro Inc. is a North American technology company that manufactures action cameras and develops mobile applications and video-editing software. Other products offered by the organization are consumer drones and mounting accessories for its cameras like the 3-way mount, chest harness, dog harness, suction cup, jaw-type flexible clamp, and surfing mount. The company was started in 2002 by Nick Woodman due to motivation from a surfing trip to capture high-quality action photos that he could not because of limited armature cameras. In 2004, the firm launched its first camera system that applied a 35 mm film and sold well nationally because of its qualities and affordable price. Its global success was established with the launching of the fixed-lens HD video camera with a wide 170-degree lens capable of creating a 360 video in 2014. In 2011, GoPro unveiled the acquisition of CineForm, a workflow technology and video compression developer. This move was aimed at obtaining CineForm’s 444 codec, a professional editing codec that made HD and 3D editing rapid and more convenient without affecting imaging quality. As such, GoPro strategically wanted to incorporate the technology in its products for more synchronized 3D photos and videos. Another significant acquisition for the company was the 2015 purchase of Kolor, a spherical media and virtual reality startup based in France. The takeover enabled the organization to diversify its offering by tapping into the Autopano and Panotour technology. The company has been listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange with the trading symbol GPRO since 2014.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to GoPro User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
