Insignia is an American company that makes sign machines and provides in-store promotional services. It offers in-store advertising, display marketing services, and on-pack advertising for both proprietor grocery shops and large retail clients like Walmart, Target, and C&S Wholesale Grocers. It was founded in 1990 by G.L. Hoffman and David Eiss in Minnesota. The company was incorporated the following year and became listed on the NASDAQ as ISIG. The company started focusing on the Insignia POPS sign program in 1998. The POPS sign contains brand messages, prices, and other customized graphics that grocery stores place on shelves. Over 23,000 stores in America are under this program, putting Insignia at the forefront of in-store visual advertising. After purchasing a laser die cutter in 2011, Insignia could now offer signs with customized graphics to any type of store. The shift brought significant success to the company, allowing it to expand into other similar branding offers. These include the Brand POPS, Shape POPS, Equity POPS, and Banner POPS. The Insignia PLUS program was launched in 2013 to allow even more custom-made signs for retailers, including aisle navigation signs. Insignia’s innovative Like Machine was introduced in 2014. It enables customers to share their opinion about a particular product in a store, allowing other shoppers to see their feedback. By 2014, the company had created 50 million Insignia POP signs. Insignia Systems, Inc. is still listed on NASDAQ as ISIG.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Insignia User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
