Keurig is an American beverage company based in Burlington, Massachusetts. Based in Burlington, Massachusetts, Keurig sells coffee, juices, soft drinks, and Keurig brewers. Keurig was originally called Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR), a coffee-making company founded by BobStiller in 1981. Bob sold coffee beans, grounds, and hot coffee in a cafe that he had partially purchased. The company shifted to Vermont in 1982 to expand operations. After four years of making ends meet with the company, Bob developed a strategy of selling his coffee to high-end restaurants and gas stations. The company’s first major client was the supermarket chain Kings. At the same time, the coffee was being sold via mail order to other clients. Green Mountain took its coffee business to Taiwan and Canada through exports in 1994. It continued to expand its network of supermarkets, convenience stores, gas stations, and restaurant outlets. It also started distributing its coffee to airlines and selected coffee stores. In 1996, Green Mountain bought a 35% stake in a start-up named Keurig. The plan was to develop a single-cup coffee brewer that could compete with Starbucks by letting people brew their own premium coffee. In 1997, the company released the Keurig Single-Cup Brewing System that is still used today. In 2006, Green Mountain increased its stake in Keurig from 43% to full ownership. The purchase increased the company’s product line and distribution channels. The acquisition opened doors to more revenue, and by 2014, the company’s primary cash cow was K Cups.  Between 2009 and 2010, Green Mountain purchased four licenses from Keurig, namely Tully’s Coffee, Timothy’s World Coffee, Diedrich Coffee, and Van Houtte. In 2011, the company entered into multiple ventures with different partners, including Dunkin’ Donuts and Starbucks, allowing both of them to serve their coffee in K Cups. Green Mountain Coffee Roasters changed its name to Keurig Green Mountain to better reflect its major product. Then in 2015, JAB Holding Company, an investor group that sold high-end consumer goods, purchased Keurig Green Mountain for $14 billion. It continued to operate as a separate entity under the Keurig management. Keurig Green Mountain changed its name to Keurig Dr. Pepper after purchasing Dr. Pepper Snapple Group for nearly $19 billion. Keurig instantly became the third-largest beverage company in North America. Since 2020 Keurig Dr. Pepper shares have been trading on NASDAQ as KDP.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Keurig User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
