KitchenAid is an American maker of home appliances. Owned by Whirlpool Corporation, the company manufactures cookware, ovens, dishwashers, and other cooking equipment. It started in 1919 as The Hobart Manufacturing Company purposely to produce stand mixers. The first stand mixer released by the company was the H-5, which the company later modified into the model K. Stand mixers were the idea of Herbert Johnston, an engineer working at Hobart. Initially, KitchenAid sold its stand mixers to United States Navy ships. But in 1918, the company launched the C-10 mixer for the general public. It gave the early version of the C-10 to the wives of its executives. It is said that one of the wives called it “the best kitchen aid she ever had,” coining the brand name that would be used for the coming decades. By the late 1930s, KitchenAid mixers were so popular that they would completely sell out every Christmas. The company started producing dishwashers in 1949, and in 1955, it added a range of colors to its stand mixers. This earned it a reputation of being a stylish brand with strong, reliable, versatile products. After KitchenAid purchased the Chambers Company in 1985, its product range expanded to include cookers. But in 1986, Whirlpool bought KitchenAid at an undisclosed fee. That same year, KitchenAid introduced its first home refrigerators to the market after purchasing Chambers Corporation of Oxford. In 1993, KitchenAid began producing hand mixers, blenders, and food processors. Despite stable sales revenue, not many new brands were added to its product range and very the next 10 years. In 2008, the company harnessed prevailing technology and introduced induction cooktops to the market. KitchenAid is currently listed on the New York Stock Exchange under Whirlpool Corporation (WHR).

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to KitchenAid User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
