Optoma is an international producer and manufacturer of projectors, LED displays, and image processing equipment. Based in Hemel Hempstead, UK, the company serves many market sectors, including home use, corporate, education, entertainment, museums, retail, simulation, and large venues. It first came to be in 1992 under its parent company Coretronic Group. At the time, it focused on establishing headquarters around America and Europe. By 2002, the brand’s official establishment took place. A year later, it launched its first product – the world’s first 65-inch Digital Light Processing (DLP) Projection television. The product also won the Consumer Electronics Show Innovations Award for its high-definition on-screen images. Optoma instigated many other firsts in the world of display technologies. Examples include MovieTime in 2005, HD81 1080P Home Cinema Projector in 2006, and the PK101 Pico Projector in 2008. The year 2014 witnessed Optoma acquiring NuForce, a US manufacturer of consumer audio equipment. This acquisition marked the beginning of the company’s reach into manufacturing audio technology. Optoma’s innovations in designing and manufacturing high-definition projectors continued over the years. In 2018, it integrated the Amazon Alexa voice assistant into its tech. It also drove an all-in-one 163” LED display and interactive flat panels in 2020. The large-size LED displays were the fruit of Optoma’s acquisition of Calibre, a UK-based manufacturer of video scaler systems. In 2021, Optoma began expanding further into the gaming industry with its gaming projector UHD35. These innovations garnered many product awards for Optoma. The brand’s flexibility and consistent improvements put it at the height of the projector manufacturing industries.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Optoma User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
