Siemens AG is a German multinational corporation headquartered in Munich. The principal niches for the organization are Industry, Energy, Healthcare, and Infrastructure. As such, it offers a wide array of electrical-engineered items as well as electronics-related products and services such as building automation equipment, industrial plants products, energy-related products, lighting products, and clinical information technology systems. Siemens was founded by Werner von Siemens and Johann Georg Halske in 1847 as a telegraph manufacturer. Subsequently, the organization’s portfolio expanded to include dynamos, cables, and electric power and gradually extended globally by developing its product range to include diagnostic imaging systems, mobile devices, hearing aids, telephones, and power generating equipment. The company’s joint venture with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in 1977 pushed it forward by enhancing its technological expertise, which enabled the entering of the American market. This agreement allowed for the production of Advanced Micro Computers that made microprocessors. In 2015, Siemens announced the acquisition of Dresser-Rand Group for $7.6B to strengthen its oil and gas industry portfolio. This takeover enhanced the organization’s innovation and production of processors and turbines. Additionally, the company covered other applications such as high-pressure field injection and oil recovery, gas liquefaction as well as gas transmission technologies. In 2021, the firm announced its plan to purchase Sqills, a rail software company, at 550 million euros. This move was aimed at expanding into high-growth markets outside its core activities. Sqills cloud-based products include inventory management, ticketing software, and reservation. Siemens became publicly listed in 1899 and is currently on Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

With such a rich history, it’s no wonder the company has so many products out there, from new to used. Finding the right documentation can be difficult, especially in the English language. This is the reason why we opened up a section dedicated to Siemens User Manuals, where you can view or download each PDF.
