Yealink is a telecommunications equipment company specializing in providing Unified Communications (UC) solutions. It designs and manufactures Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phones, video conferencing systems, and voice communication products. Established in 2001, Yealink is relatively new compared to other tech companies. Its headquarters are located in Xiamen, China, and it became the world’s primary USB phone supplier in 2005. Yealink used its success to power its research and development team for its SIP phones. The strategy paid off five years later when the company climbed as the top SIP phone provider in China. Later, the company’s growth pushed it to expand and open a Research and Development Center in Hangzhou. The new R&D center and its continuous innovation and improvement of its phone models put Yealink in the global spotlight. By 2014, it had become a leading global SIP phone provider. The year after that, the telecommunications brand released its first video conferencing system. In the same year, Yealink also became a global strategic partner of Microsoft Corporation. In 2016, the telecommunications firm also began working with top operators in the industry, including Verizon, British Telecom, AT&T, KPN, Proximus, and Vodafone. The company found success once more in 2018 as the No. 1 Global Open SIP Desktop Phone Shipments provider. After a year, it began strategic partnerships with three more China-based telecommunications companies: Tencent Cloud, Sony China, and China Telecom. Yealink is on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SHE). It uses the stock code 300628 and has been on the stock market since 2017.
